I find myself to be good with computers and rarely have a problem. But lately, I have found that I have been unable to visit either MySpace or Facebook in the campus computer labs.
That sucks.
For the amount of money I have spent to attend college, I would think that I would be able to visit the sites I want, when I want to without restrictions - but that is not the case.
In an attempt to find the solution to my problem, I took a look online at Squidoo and found a lens about free proxy servers.
There I found out that there are sites that allow you to bypass school filters and visit the sites that you want to, without restrictions.
After a bit of research, I found a free proxy server and a myspace proxy site that I was going to use to help visit the sites I wanted. It is really too bad that we have to do this - why can’t they quit treating us like children.

As I was looking for more free places to promote my blogs today, I came across and interesting post on a forum. It spoke of a free web directory that I could submit my site to that accepted blogs on free blog hosts. I definitely had to take a look.
Visiting the site, I admired the layout - even though it was just a web template, the site looked spectacular. I proceeded to submit my blogs with no problems, and received an email a few days later confirming that my sites had been accepted. Man, that was easy.

Like most webmasters, I spend a lot of time promoting my websites. It is not often that you find quality free places to promote your website, but I did come across two places today that I would like to share with you.
Tower Promote is a free link directory. You can list your site for free or for a nominal fee you can purchase a featured link. I had no problems adding my site and site approval was quick too.
4169.info SEO friendly link directory was the other site I found. They too have free and paid submissions, and they seem to be a busier site.
